CONTEST DETAILS
There is NO cost but there is now a limit of 10 photos submissions per person. The deadline for submissions is October 15 of the contest year. Judging will take place by a selected committee of sponsors with winning photographs being announced by November 15. Photos submitted should be no smaller then 1500 x 2100 pixels. Higher resolution are encouraged for better quality reproduction. One of criteria for judging may be the quality of photo when blown up. All winning photographs will be made into a 5 x 7 and/or 8 x 10 print for public display and a digital format of all winning photos will be displayed on website. The contest theme is subject to the interpretation of the judges and creative interpretations are encouraged. A photo submission form must be filled out completely for all photo submissions, one per photographer. CONTEST RULES
Photos must be your original work and have never been copyrighted or, if copyrighted, you must be the sole copyright owner. You are entering photos as an honest and true effort of your personal creativity and unique artistic vision, and it may be published on the Internet as your original work. Your submission will be reviewed before it is accepted for the contest. If your photo is offensive, a studio image, animation/artwork, or of poor image quality, then it may be disqualified. All photographers who submit photos to the contest shall grant Bernadette Friberg and Badger Realty non exclusive rights to use said photos in their future marketing and promotions including but not limited to calendars for fundraising for local charity of choice. All Photos used in the future will have a photographic credit option. Please indicate if you wish to receive credits. If you agree to the contest rules, click the link below to email your photos. CONTEST PRIZES !!
Each year we will provide 1st and 2nd place cash prizes to the winning photographers in each of 3 categories.
* Student * Amateur * Pro/Semi-Pro
These winning photos will also be made a part of our annual “Calendar for Charity” to be sold by donations to help out local non-profit organizations chosen as charity recipient(s) for the year.
*Cash Prize amounts may vary from year to year depending on the annual sponsorship monies available after photo contest production costs. Cash Prizes being awarded will be announced by or before October 15.
*Placement of all photos into the calendar is at the sole discretion of MWV Photocontest and Calendar for Charity creator & host. Placement of 1st and 2nd place winners in each category are a given (unless photo quality can not be reproduced at higher resolution for enlargement). Other photo placement in calendar may be awarded to Honorable mentions, Sponsor’s or Judge’s pick photos or Photos that might help to sell more calendars and might not otherwise be eligible or recognized as a MWV photo contest winner.
